The graphics and perma-exp-share/friendship hacks kills the otherwise good parts of the experience. The original DP had probably the smoothest and most gradual exp curve in the series at the point of their release, there was no reason to add the exp share without changing the levels.

I know /vp/ doesn’t play non-pokémon games, but come on
there are a million shitty “faithful remasters” that people don’t care about
even with nintendo, ttyd and smrpg remakes came out slightly after these and were praised by mariofags
