Megas do this too though. MegaPidgeot is 10/10 but this puts Pidgeot in an awkward position where you'd almost want it removed so MegaPidgeot is the final evolution or otherwise Megas need to be a feature forever.

>more Kanto shilling The Kanto Pokemon and characters are the most recognizable worldwide. Taking advantage of that is simply the smart thing to do. Trying to replace some of those designs is the questionable part.
