I'm looking into moving a bunch of my 3DS pokemon to Home and I saw that I have a shiny japanese Rayquaza with OT "kiri". Is there a way to know if this is a legitimate pokemon or not? What happens if I try to move it to Home and it's not legitimate?

Also, is there any reason (other than wanting to use them in the old games) I shouldn't transfer all of my pokemon to Home?
