You can also clearly make out all the details of the design with nothing getting lost / needing official art to clarify, the upper jaw on Gen 4 Rayquaza is a bit hard to parse due to the dynamic pose.
Gen 3 Rayquaza has always been a pretty awful sprite though. Doesn't even look like its facing your direction just staring off to the side, and it just kinda has no "aura" as the kids say.
