Because their visa expires.
As a foreigner there is no path to citizenship or permanent residency in Japan. At best you have a work visa with a corporate backer that doesn't run out as long as they keep renewing it.

Most foreigners leave because they hit the time limit and are forced to leave, or because their company decides they no longer need the token white guy. Even marrying a local and having children won't protect you from being deported after a set time limit, which is also why there's a meme about single mothers with halfu kids

The main issue with Hololive is that idol culture is sexist in numerous ways that would be viewed as insulting by most EN talents. Idols are treated badly even if they are native Japanese but they are used to Japanese style misogyny. When you add on the subtle racism from Cover with foreign talents it's actually not a shock that HoloEN was constantly fighting with management in 2022. While the contract disputes were mostly centered around Sana, Ina, and Kronii it did demoralize the other talents. Advent debuted after those fights and they generally have a better relationship with management. Still there are subtle indications that Advent is starting to have more issues with management.

My Mom's grandmother was from Kure, Hiroshima and we went on vacation to Japan 30 years ago. I tell you something as an European. Depending on where you live we don't either. Everything goes in the Hausmüll, maybe sort paper out but technically you can get fined for fat on a pizzabox if you put it in the paper bin. That's up to 2.500 Euro. I have seen batteries, beer can/bottles and even old printers in the household waste bin.

That's how we do it too, but in Japan it's even easier: food waste, plastic, and paper go all together into 可燃ゴミ (burnable trash), everything else goes into 不燃ゴミ (unburnable trash).
Depending on your municipality they might collect some specific recyclables: almost always pet bottles, sometimes glass, aluminum, tin cans, or cardboard boxes. And of course oversized or dangerous trash needs to be collected separately.
But even where they collect recyclables, most young Japanese only do burnable, unburnable, and pet bottles. I really don't see what's the big deal, when I lived in Tokyo I learned my municipality's trash rules in 5 minutes.
