Serious question, and no sugarcoating.
Why does basic decency seem like such a high bar for some vtubers? Is it genuinely that hard, or is the mess intentional?
A lot of the time it feels less like real personality and more like compensation. When talent or charisma is lacking, the volume gets turned up on stupidity and controversy because outrage pulls attention.
Nobody is asking for saint behavior or Hololive level professionalism. The expectation is extremely low. Just be decent enough to not become the main source of toxicity in your own community.
Is that really too much to ask, or is being chaotic simply the easiest shortcut to staying relevant?
