-- Mechanic of "mining ores" is forced on you. They even give you an "ore mining phase" where nobody can attack each other, and you are forced to spend 2 or 3 minutes interacting with the boring ore-mining mechanic just to buy a weapon.
-- Every single attempt at the opponent's base triggers a reset, and both teams go back to the ore-mining phase, for another 2-3 minutes of halted-gameplay smacking those ores.
-- Every attempt on the opponent's base involves an extremely long runback, through empty land. The map is extremely huge and you have to traverse the whole thing every time. Takes another 2-3 minutes just to get there.
-- Weird mechanic of "reinforcing your walls" seems pointless because of the sheer number of walls.
-- One of the heroes is a bizarre looking tranny thing, that is genuinely freakish.
The game is stealing mechanics from like 10 other games and amalgamating them. Rainbow 6, League of Legends, Apex, CSGO, Starcraft. They literally just took game elements from these other games and slapped them together. As for why the world feels so empty and big, I think they wanted to have more teams, like 4-6 teams per match, but couldn't get it working, so they settled on 3v3 battles. You can't solo queue either.
It's a shitty, poorly thought out game that is extremely poorly made. The reason it failed wasn't the haters, it was probably your diversity-team of hires who didn't know what the fuck they were doing, and had no creative vision except on what to shove up their craw next.
