also noncompete clauses aren't a thing. there's literally nothing cover could actually do legally to saba or mumei that saba couldn't just tell them to eat shit.
if there was any reason for them to do anything it's because they were still actively under contract and getting paid and the conditions of their getting paid required them to do things. So like Dooby is still an affiliate, she's also kind of lazy so if there was something it was while she was getting paid. Nimi and Saba graduated, so there might have been some amount of time where they had their graduation stream, but were still directly under contract with cover and then a period where they were still getting paid by cover (maybe they still are) and had to follow certain rules to get paid.
generally in the US if you aren't actively getting paid you can't be stuck under a "noncompete clause" unless you are like a CEO level person or something and the only penalty for breaking the clause is you stop getting paid
