I do believe that just a tiny bit of her having a childish demeanor is a result of having such a rough childhood. Barely being able to have a happy childhood in the past but being safe and secure today allows her to live the childhood that was stolen from her. Something about Pillow I've always found funny was her philosophy "Do what makes you happy!" along with her always telling us to take care of ourselves. Those things aren't always in alignment. Doordashing 40$ worth of Taco Bell every night makes me happy, but is definitely not me taking care of myself. I wonder where she would draw the line if she ever had to fully lay it out.

I find the belly jokes very sweet, but I've only ever lost weight since I've become a piwwo, Pillow being a big part of my motivation. Not exactly in the way you'd expect

I think when she says "do what makes you happy" she's just being sweet and not putting much thought into it, and there's a risk of it being interpreted in an irresponsible and self-destructive way. But I think of it like this: Doordashing $40 worth of Taco Bell every night and getting fat as shit would, in the long run, make you unhappy. The pleasure of being lazy and eating slop isn't an adequate substitute for the happiness you got from losing weight. So you did "do what makes you happy", rather than just what would've felt good in the moment.

Unfortunately, girls like her can be extremely self-hating and blind to their own positive traits. Pillow is genuinely incredible at improv, roleplay, acting, and creative writing. It's a little bit hard to recognize when you don't have other real life personal improv experience, but her ability to smoothly navigate roleplay without fumbling over herself is seriously impressive. Unfortunately, she's always very mean to herself, so she needs to have this stuff repeated back to her very very often, and even then she will not believe it.

One thing I will give as advice is to control how often you say words, especially "love" or quality descriptors like "amazing." If you say you "love" everything, then when you tell her "I love you," the meaning is devalued. Think kind of how in Japan, the average rating is 3 stars on review sites instead of 5 stars being everywhere in America. I’ve tended to be pretty decently charismatic towards her and gotten some good reactions, I think the big key is being empathetic enough with her to try and understand where she’s coming from. Like on the Pokotopia stream I hit a crit on her just by reassuring her that Piwwos enjoy spending time with her, even if she’s not putting in 100%, because spending time with her is enough. She’s a girl who hasn’t received a lot of love for most of her life, and she’s always stressed out and worried about not being enough for Piwwos. Not being entertaining enough, not being funny enough, not working hard enough, and as a result, losing the love and care that she has. Once you start thinking about how she feels, you can connect that to how you feel, and then what you say from there is just a little negotiation between the two of those.
