Pick an animal/Japanese stereotype, pick some colors, make sure you have a somewhat cohesive product, done - the allure of something like a superhero Vtuber or the first narwhal Vtuber or some other random ass animal is gone. Nowadays, you need creativity/networking/personality in that order - you have to stand out in a world that has realized just how easy reactive PNGs are.
