>>702373I disagree, while basic N5 grammar is pretty straightforward, there are concepts like animate / inanimate - existing / having being one in the same - self-wish / other-wish - the many facets of giving and receiving, and these have further complexities in N4 concepts and beyond, none of which has a direct cognate with English. Grammar isn't as hard as learning / reading Japanese vocabulary, but I wouldn't call it easy either.
