Anyway people hate males because of the irrational fear of them fucking their oshi. Being in the same industry makes them inherently closer to them. Also male/female interaction on stream is cringe if it's not done right, which it almost never is in NijiEN. Doesn't matter if your oshi is male or female. Doesn't even matter if the streamer's a VTuber or not, it almost always feels forced like one gender's trying way too hard to impress the other.
