Speaking of League and toxicity, I remember watching a video of this MOBA that had a system that rewarded players for being nice: basically, if you played a game and were voted as being a good player by players not on your friends list (so, randos), you got more experience. (1 vote = 2x experience, 2 votes = 4x experience, etc) the end result was the community for the game was a lot nicer overall.
But because the game was published by EA, it got shut down because it didn’t have enough market share.
