Man, the new song is very different from what I expected. Not that I know exactly what I did expect in the first place. The drums are not leading the song as heavily as in Wonderlader, but they're still going nuts in the background. Strings doing work as well, especially on the left side. Kind of feels like the violin is always leading the transitions, then at some point around halfway through it just takes the lead and guides the song the rest of the way.
It sounds surprisingly busy for how gentle it is, and even a bit on the melancholic side. Not depressing like Shion's Mage of Violet, but definitely a bit somber.
Still, very very gentle, could easily fit as an Atelier opening, much like Rushia's Iris.
Is the composer some big deal dude? This sounds very nuanced.
Wonderlader was a big surprise to me, but I was ready for this one to be great after that. Still surprised that it's a bit challenging. I was expecting it to be more "straightforward", digestible, I guess? Already listened to it almost 10 times, just trying to get used to the sound.
