the front page has had a recommended shelf for a while, too, and it's not that inaccurate
mine even has a category for vtubers and lots of vtubers show up in all my shelves
can't speak to what their new mobile algo is doing
that said, raids and being a chat regular are still probably the majority of the way streamers get noticed with some percent FOTM directory hits and random rec hits, though I don't think they track and show that unfortunately
