>>79824846English education is cucking people out of appreciating theatre because they're too focused on "muh canon" and battering themes into dumb 14 y/o brains to memorize for one-time use on a quiz when art is meant to be experienced and immersive. All too often I've seen kids write off Shakespeare or theatre completely because learning about it in compulsory education is such a drag only for them to actually see a show and be like "hey, that was actually pretty cool"
