Simple mixed drinks like that (spirit and soda) arfe nice since you cna control how sitff you want it.
If you want to be adventurous, then there's no goign wrong with other cocktails. Like I said, I love rum, so I can only recommend tiki drinks if you're looking for something fun and sweet (things like painkillers and pina coladas, just look them up).
Vodka is great if you want to drink without a distinct flavor (just dilute it with something unless you're having shots), tequila is dogshit and FUCK all my friend sfor saying otherwise, whiskey/bourbon I couldn't say much about, and then there's soju which you can probably find as flavored (delicious holy fcuk( and unflavored (hot water is the best way to describe it).
