But then, remaining detached defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
At the end of the day it's goods and services. If you remember that, it's not so bad. You are merely buying a product, none of this is real. But you and I both know that isn't how this ends. It isn't easy to think that way, even for a rational person, and the people who want this sort of thing will lose themselves eventually... I've seen it happen time and time again.
