>>99860684I think the easiest talent to compare Gura to would be Irys. Irys was shackled with an outputting design that was too "Western" and differed from most things in vtubing. Even when it was redesigned it still had elements that were too ornate and byzantine (the horns, the jewel wings, the halo etc) Gura's intro was also an act since she had a background in entertaining - Gura could play a character. In contrast, Irys can't really act - she literally reads her scripts and you can hear her laughing while trying to "get in-character".
Irys mentioned she would have preferred a loli-ish model. I don't think Gura's model and character would fit her at all, but I can imagine that a 2020 debuting Irys with a Gura-like loli model but have been very different from what we got.
