>>72272511I will spoonfeed you with extreme care because something happened recently that has jannies on high-alert. Especially from possible "repeat offenders". Not important to you or the topic so don't mind it.
>Miko has confirmed on-stream that her squeaky voice comes from a birth defect related to her tongue>Her tongue is short as fuck. >That means that she actually has to properly VA offscreen to not sound squeaky.>And because people could recognize her if she talks normally>She made the mistake of doing her vtuber activities with her real voice>Why?, back then everyone was copying Kizuna Ai and no one expected it to become the mostly remote job that it is now>Also, back then it was mostly copycats going to studios to work with 3D models and I guess early Cover Corp and other startups. with their experimental 2D/3D vtubing in-house private apps or ways to do it cheaper than the professional studio that was needed for Ai-chan's episodes. >Someone might be able to confirm it, because I can't remember it but supposedly Cover Corp was the first company to minimize a percentage of that package into a mobile app>That's what later, Sora used for her streams and videos.>I was not joking about the Miko tongue bit, she really draw the short end of a genetic stick.>Back to topic, people tend to forget that it wasn't always 2D models and later 3D. >It was usually the opposite and then early performers got 2D models later for a celebration or even as a joke, if you go back and check, you can see that even people in other boards and platforms thought of live 2D as a sorf of low budget thing or a joke for a while before NIJISANJI and other competitors properly managed to make it a standard practice to do 2D models for newcomers>It cimented itself as the standard practice because 2D is cheaper than detailed 3D models and the low poly models were becoming a debuff because Ai-san had the best one compared to everyone else (for a while, then she didn't). There's some ancient stuff to explains more Miko stuff that but I won't spoonfeed you content that isn't recent and has zero correlation with vtubers, that's a (You) problem.
>She also confirmed on-stream that she has a heart defect>We don't know which kind (or again, I can't remember it) but it is definitely less serious than say, Subaru's hole in her heart.>Still, there was one time when Miko took time off streaming because she had to get legitimately checked by doctors because she didn't feel well and for a short episode, thought she was actually going to die.All-in-all, she seems fine for now, but I won't be surprised if any of the girls with heart defects (including Reine I think) don't make it past 40-50 and it just happens very suddenly out of nowhere.
>Any other info?I can't remember exactly if it was Ojou or Onyan that also talked about this, but one of them apparently faints usually from low blood pressure spikes. And I have heard that this happens with other girls so it might be a thing with having Japanese genes and also being a woman, not a meme thing but just bodily functions and inheritance. The genetic kind.
