Had similar experiences in the first year of reps (started doing them before hololive for my utaite oshi) But even picking up a couple words and sentences here and there is something, and everything you pick up means progress.
When I started watching Matsuri back in late 2019, I didn't understand even half of it, zatsudans especially were hard as hell. Kept doing my reps for Matsuri ever since (and Matsuri IS my reps too, since I watch every stream I can) and after a year and a half I can follow at least 85%. Some streams closer to everything. You won't even realize how much you'll make progress until you're already following along most things. It's absolutely worth doing it for your oshi's sake, and years later if hololive is no more, you've picked up a skill that a lot of people would be very jealous for
