Even as soon as she said it, I knew what she meant. She was going to be less seiso, start swearing, stream less, etc and lo and behold I was proven right.
What really bothered me is everyone was doing the usual "yas queen slay, do whatever you want!" shtick and I was just there thinking to myself, "I don't want this. I came to vtubing precisely so I can watch an idealized performance and fake relationship, not the usual twitch hedonism". It also bothered me that she was almost guilt tripping me by saying that the kind of content I enjoyed was in some way bad or worse.
But of course I was drowned out, and apparently the minority, even /here/. After that, I began to watch less and less, and drifted away from Hololive.
Looking back, it was the best decision I ever made, seeing how it all turned out, but I really, really wish things could have been different. Alas.
