A lot of Specialists become Jannies
Most people are Generalists who are capable of doing many things and few people are Specialists. These Specialists are confused by Generalists behavior. A lot of boards specialize in a specific topic like /gd/ graphic design and the generals on those boards even further super-specialize. This causes a lot of specialists to congregate to 4chan and influence the culture. That is their nature, and this topic-switching is ours. Specialist Jannies reward Specialist users and punish Generalist users.
