Yo whaddup.
Today I'm going to be going over the feedback from Lord of the Board. Not all of the feedback will be covered, but the important stuff will at least be mentioned. I'll also answer any questions as usual.
21 Responses received for the post-event survey. The survey is actually still open, and you can reply to it here if you haven't already:

Exhibition Matches:
>Rage in a Cage was the most popular Day 1 Exhibition, with People's Champion being not too far behind.>The Amiya Custody Ladder Match was the most popular Day 2 Exhibition by far, although Terminal Threat wasn't a slouch, either.>Echo Chamber was the most popular Day 3 Exhibition by over half the votes, with the Tag Titles being the second most-popular.>The Amiya Custody Ladder match takes 35% of the vote for overall best Exhibition Match, with the Terminal Threat match being #2 at 20%.Commentary:
>Most people either didn't have a strong opinion or admitted that solo commentary wasn't good, but might improve with 2 people in the booth.General Feedback:
>Too many threads eliminated too quickly>Not enough Exhibition matches>Fuck you /mythread/ didn't win>Needs more promos>Run-ins suck>Some of the entrances are too long>Fuck Hogan's Victory Screen>Vince HatePersonal Notes:
>Commentary was awful. Too much dead air, not enough interesting commentary. Play-by-play commentary was really shitty. If commentary returns for LotB2, there will be a second person in the booth at bare minimum.>A few of the match types that eliminated people felt too RNG-heavy and cheapened said eliminations. There's really not much that can be done about that other than making every single match a 1v1, but even then you'll just get 2k being 2k. There was an attempt to ensure match types would roughly match the groups fairly, but this didn't work out because fuck Vince.Let me address some complaints and suggestions regarding the tournament format:
>Threads got kicked out too quickly in Day 1 and Day 2How do you expect us to get through 50 threads in what is basically ~20 Stream Hours? Please reply to this post with your format ideas. I'm not joking or being facetious. The match card had a lot of thought put into it to balance everything in the time we had to work with, but if you think you can do better, then please do.
>Implement a cap on entrantsNo. This is a board unity event first and foremost, with part of the intention being to coax threads out that are either too small, too uncoordinated, too new, or too isolated to be willing/able to make a divegrass team. If it ever comes down to "implement an entrant cap" and "we can't make CAWs for everyone", or some other logistical conflict, then the event won't happen and that's that.
>Add more daysWhile technically possible, there is an incredibly tight budget of time here. Realistically, BBB can stream about 6 hours a day, and 4 days is pretty much the most time that can be devoted to it. In order to add more days, we'd either have to cut down significantly on prep work, or get an additional streamer. Without getting an additional streamer, we could MAYBE expand to 5 days without harming any prep work, but adding a full extra weekend is not feasible. It'll be explored, but for now don't expect us to add time to the event unless there's a huge surge of new applicants.
>Cut ExhibitionsIt was considered, and while it would have technically saved almost a day's worth of matches, the match card was considered too monotonous without the Exhibitions breaking up the proceedings. Additionally, the Exhibitions were very useful in giving time for point calculations and such to be performed.
>Cut the SHITTY Exhibitions with no loreAll of the Exhibitions we had were given in-thread lore justification and meant to have some stake in the threads. Most of the booked Exhibitions were even decided based on thread interactions and promos cut by the threads themselves. Again, this is a unity event. We're not gonna turn away an idea just because it sounds dimeless. We'd be no better than Vince if we did that. Everyone deserves a shot. Besides, sometimes an idea comes out better than expected. Echo Chamber was booked as a filler match to stall time for the bracket setup, but it ended up being one of the best matches of the event.
>Have seeding and group stages before the actual FPV event. It's possible, and that may happen if we get an increase in entrants, but it wasn't considered for this event since we wanted people to be able to see /theirthread/ in the actual event.
Some LotB2 planning has started, but it's still very much in concept. Don't expect much news about it until at least after VTL5.
