>Medium If you support vtubers being able to do things outside of the Japanese idol definition then you'll have to accept that some will choose to focus their channel aroun politics. Like how others focus their channel around horror, or specific hobbies like guns or Warhmer 40k.
>CultureThen they don't fit what vtubing is about and shouldn't be considered one, just fleshtubers using an anime girl as an avatar. People who considering this as what vtubing is likely watch to get AWAY from the never ending problems of the real world. Focusing on politics goes completely against all that.
I can see the points of both sides, but I learn moe towards the culture argument.
