Like they're telling the story and it's something like, "He lay stranded in the cave, no one was around and his thoughts turned to his wife, lamenting the idea that he may never get to see them again, this thought helped focus his mind as he waited and prayed for rescue, but that rescue never came."
YOU DON'T KNOW ANY OF THAT, YOU JUST MADE THE WHOLE THING UP.
It can be kind of a spoiler if you're watching someone who doesn't pull that garbage and they start telling you about the persons inner monologue because you think, "Oh they must have survived then", but that fooled me once because the narrator was doing that...turns out the guy had note-paper with him and he wrote down his thoughts before dying. So it was like a survival fake out.
