Well, here's a weird little ad I got. I didn't think I'd be suggested ax throwing of all things from a Gura VOD. I was going to say why I was recommended this, but then my brain started activating and I do remember a little that Kiara during the Minecraft collab with her talking about throwing axes. I think it's safe to say I can blame Kiara for this.
Also, people doomposting subs should probably retract their statement since she's back to 3 days for 20k subs with the 3.18m>3.2m. I think it's safe to say when she streams often, she'll get more subs consistently. Besides, taking 5 days to get 20k subs was like her normal rate somewhere before 2.7m when the race to 3m was just ramping up. Also, for most of the hololive members, the average for the semi-popular to popular ones, it takes them 5 days to get 10k subs. 7 days if it's a really slow week for them. 3 days being the fastest if they release a series of good videos. Most can hit 10k in a day if they either get a 3D Live, new outfit reveal, return after a long hiatus, or endurance stream for it but that doesn't happen often and is treated as an exception to what is the normal rate for them.
There isn't really much of a reason to race in subs since she is the most subbed vtuber in history. Even if she somehow hits 4m by the end of the year, the closest one would be Kizuna Ai who might get 3m in another 2 months and maybe 3.03m by the end of the year. Any slowdown is probably because there isn't many big goals to hit for Gura at this point other than 10m subs. 10m will probably be hit around the 3rd year going into the 4th year. That's if she continues to do it which I think she will and if vtubing is still going strong by then it should happen eventually. I would like to see her hit 10m subs personally but I think it's best to enjoy the ride while it lasts. As long as you keep enjoying Gura, life will always be good.
