what a surprise Cover, who for years pretended its Holo reddit is the primary interface with the West, doesn't know shit about public engagement/interaction.
the holo reddit gets a couple hundred posts a day (~200 or less last I checked on a stats site), /vt/ is on average 60-70,000 posts a day, sometimes far higher. so generally we're x300-400+ their post rate. that's not like "300%", that's as in "30,000%." what people see and say and post here matters for the vtuber community. a lot. only twitter and discord are similarly influential and yet those are disjointed fragmented places where you either can't have long cohesive arguments (twitter) or it's always a closed loop that gets more and more insular and grouphugged (discords). we're not the best solution ever, we're just, a solution, one that for whatever reason people congregated around.
I hope cover appreciates a little more that no the antis (of which there are many) and the underage shitposters can't be handled and will take over like a tidal wave if allowed, unless there is extremely close monitoring of the place to a scale they can't pay enough people to do. they'll need volunteers, holoplus jannies that is and it will be an endless, forever-war against doxfags and antis generally for as long as Holo is popular.
