Writing lore like this for a nation that does not currently have a rep is taking away said rep's agency of their own nations lore, since they might feel forced to change or even discard their own ideas in order to keep yours, which were already anchored(I know these two posts aren't, but still).
And from your perspective, you already dipped your toes into writing for them, so what's the harm in doing a little more? And a little more? And oh whoops would you look at that, most of the main aspects of the nation are already done, and we don't even have a rep for them yet.
Also, and you might find the next point insulting, but fuck it, I'm Cunt, I make people mad, you now have a nation that can be used as a supplement for your own, without the thread crying that you are making a Mary sue out of you main one. Doesn't have to be anything open, like a protectorate, but just favorable relations, resource deals and pacts that otherwise might not have existed. You might of course write them to be your mortal enemy and you two have no relations whatsoever, but the possibility for that first point is still there.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT POINT OF IT ALL: /zomg/ doesn't even exist in this world anymore. It's more like a transient entity, like a zombie virus that pops up, than an actual nation.
