The ending is so much worse to because the first fight Abby and Ellie have is a slaughter, Abby is basically a rhino chasing a cat, there is no contest over who the winner is there, then Abby gets captured and tortured for awhile and her muscles go away, and the only way Ellie is able to have a fair fight with starving/tortured Abby, Abby then somehow manages to bite off 2 of Ellie's fingers off during this fight(let's just ignore the fact that human bone is VERY HARD TO BITE THROUGH MUCH LESS 2 OF THEM.)
Then Ellie goes home, finds it empty, cant play her guitar due to the missing fingers
