I think many people are wrong to think about the "why" the Unicorn Discourse happened, including me. Oddly enough, the answer is simple: just like how the denizens of Tokyo used Lil' Slugger as an excuse for their flaws, the belligerents of this war are just using whatever side they are as an excuse or a distraction to avoid any sort of shortcomings they have. This is not a matter of "both sides" but rather human nature itself.
The question of how is also simple. This phenomenon is just one of many that have grown out of control and have been exploited by those who only care either for profit or for the sake of attention.
The question to how to defeat it however. Well, after many hours, I have come to the conclusion that... there is no way to stop this. Just like how even the elite of the world that rule over us all in the shadows cannot stop mother nature's wrath, none of us who just want to enjoy vtubers in peace cannot stop the force that are dramaniggers.
All hope is not lost, however. Dramaniggers may always exist as a part of human nature, but that does not mean that they cannot be defeated. For you see, the dramaniggers will consider anything as a victory. Anything. Even being ignored and getting banned is a victory. Merely thinking about them is a victory. But I've realized just now that the dramaniggers' true goal isn't actually a "victory" in how a normal people would think of it, but disruption. It's easy to see how anything can be a victory if the ultimate goal is to disrupt something.
Even if a terrorist's plan is ultimately foiled and he is arrested before anybody could get hurt, he is still, technically disrupting the normal flow of life, and thus, in his mind, he is considered the victor, even if the proper procedures would put into place.
There is no reasoning with the dramanigger. Their motives isn't to have "discussions" but to "disrupt." Disrupt you for enjoying streams, disrupt you from enjoying your oshi, disrupt you from enjoying your life. I implore you anons, be proactive in your enjoyment and do not let the dramaniggers disrupt you. But I realize it is too late for some of you, or perhaps many of you. But for the few who are still resisting this, remember you cannot let the dramaniggers disrupt you. For your sake, and your oshi's.
