I've made them a society that focuses on martial abilities as integral so perhaps there is some sectarianism between the military and other sects.I'm still attached to an idea I had in the old /haha/ lore that there would be different factions for the same religion, one being more radical and another more conservative.

So that they would be nowhere near the battles? Whatever works for you though, I'm fine with not adding that.
