It's something in-built in you, a part of your brain, just like your IQ or personality. Sure you can rationalize it and explain it based on what you've seen, but the core of it's inaccessible.
Thing is, this intuition has not only saved my life, it's also recognized awful people in the first 10 seconds I've watched them. I've learned to trust it, further even, after neural networks have been built for the purpose of recognizing criminality and personality disordersd, proving the ability of even rudimentary ones on determining character through genetic output.
