everything is stored in the "cloud" now and the entire generation of zoomers have grown up with that as the norm. they have no concept of "ownership" for them everything they love and enjoy is just a subscription service away and if the servers happen to shut down or be in maintenance they just stare at their phone screen confused on what to do. they never went through the learning curve of figuring out how to find things on their own on the internet because netflix and spotify and youtube have everything they could ever need and they'll never leave the bubble of those companies.
it was talked about when pomu mentioned still using foobar in 2022 and it made me really sad that using a media player in the modern age instead of streaming is seen as a "boomer thing" instead of just proper tech literacy.w4hw8
