The reason it's so powerful is it does not function like normal perfect blocks in LoP, but rather is a form of super parry that will send any enemy in the game, including every boss, reeling backwards no matter what they were doing and leaving them completely open to your counter which automatically triggers with a 50% power boost if done via parry.
And then you realize you can stack it with an amulet that gives 20% more damage on attacks after a perfect block and the sword's auto-counter counts for that.
