The wonderful thing about the Orphan of Kos is how it mirrors the Hunter's style of combat. It uses a weird weapon, combines slow movements with sudden dashing and quick attacks that hit hard and he also uses a projectile both as a single projectile and a shotgun-like effect, as well as AoE. It's exactly like the wild yet refined style of a Hunter's fighting style seen all throughout the game. But then the second phase happens, and it no longer mirrors a Hunter. The Orphan becomes enraged, and starts to fight like a blood-drunk Hunter instead, which is no different than a beast. Very much like the other Great Ones present in the game, Orphan resorts to brute force. For all the knowledge and ascending, the Kin and the Great Ones are ultimately no different from any of the common beasts you've been killing. And perhaps, they aren't even all that different from humans to begin with. That's why the fight against the Orphan of Kos is such a fantastic final fight for the DLC, as it ultimately culminates in a spectacular fight between a Hunter and a tragic figure that never got a chance to live, but it remains in a Nightmare fueled by sorrow and rage, cursing the very beings that stole the life of is mother and trapping them within. Trapping all of them but one. You. You're far gone enough to where you want to kill everything, but not enough to be completely overtaken and become blood-drunk. You are as much of a final boss in the DLC for the Orphan as he is to you.
And then Laurence just shits all over the kino with his gay retarded slaps in the tiny arena as he flails and pees and shits lava all over the floor while screaming and the lyrics to his theme describe how much it hurts to have your asshole set on fire.
