Then you put that shit on a print on demand site. Suddenly, you make hundreds of thousands of dollars during debut times.
Then, you re-invest that massive early profit in projects to keep the character going and make sure the artist stays healthy. You produce music, like gura did. You make animations, like gura did...
It's a lot cheaper to pump out this stuff and "mascot mode" a vtuber than to let her crash and burn.
If idol can't invest 50$ and a few social media posts now and then they shouldn't be managing vtubers. It was a good move to sponsor offkai expo. That's one thing they did right, by having her in concert.
