>>64434481> The Japanese holos have a long history of being absolutely trustworthyuhhh EOPchama, they have that trust because they spent most of their early years either collabing within hololive or trying to expand Hololive's mindshare by spreading the name to different places (e.g. pic rel) by collabing with a wide range of people at a time when Cover was just a small, shaky indie company.
After the chinkout and the formation of the Holobox, the biggest thing the audience demands for a new hire is contribution to the Box. New people bring in new fans, so the culture is to integrate them among the wider Hololive fanbase by collabing lots with your genmates and senpai. ReGloss have mostly done that for just 3 months (some puritans will say it should be a year, but those can be ignored because we already know what happened when Kronii waited a year to do male collabs) so they're now going out of box in an effort to expand it.
This is early enough that unicorn oriented types can get off the ride without feeling too ripped off, and by notably NOT joining any of these collabs, you can also signal to the audience about what content you're going for (e.g. Kanade and Hajime).
All Ririka had to do was say she was going to play in the server without much fanfare, like Ao did. She farmed some gachis so it's inevitable that some would silently leav-
> NOOO I DON'T WANT UNICORNS TO LEEEAVE> I'LL DO ASMR AND BRING THEM BACK AHAHAHAAnd that basically kills her fanbase. JP Unicorns are mostly silent in public because they know they don't have a good reputation among normies, and don't want the normal viewers to either be shit on for just oshiing a girl, or shit on them for being unicorns and cause a fanbase rift.
There's a reason they often just leave silently, they don't want to cause trouble for Hololive as a whole, or give antis ammunition to attack the girls, even if they aren't particularly interested in their oshi's content anymore.
Ririka basically put a shiny little spotlight on a segment of her fanbase that wants to stay hidden in order to not cause problems for the Holobox, and then proceeded to insult them and belittle their "silent" opinions.
Now her normie fans will always get the "unicorn" label, and they will be insulted if they enjoy her ASMR even if they're not unicorns. A rift has formed in the fanbase, meaning that unicorns will no longer be welcome on her streams, and if they want to watch her they will have to do so silently with ZERO online presence, meaning they might as well not be watching them.
Like that one 5ch commented said, she poured oil all over herself and the fanbase with that move.
All it will take is a single match for her to burn.
