Yeah when Pewdiepie was trying his darnest to not shit his pants and finish a game or when a random dude or girl reacting to a jumpscare was the funniest shit ever.
Hell I remember these 2 japanese dudes playing Ao Oni, who the fuck where these guys? Randos? Japanese e-celebs of back then? Who cares but I had to wait for their videos to be translated and those were the bomb everybody watched them no one cared who they were they were kings back then.
By the time we had Kizuna Ai, Mirai Akari or Shiro playing horroge the scene was already burnt out.
Nowadays there's way too much horror content and new horror games have sacrificed most of what make them great into these boring, jumpscare filled, pretentious or extremely hard (Bro a monster would fuck you up IRL that's why it's hard!) games.
I dunno if genuinely Reimu loves them but I don't find her videos any fun at all I mean she doesn't even get scared and I don't watch Reimu to watch her piss her pants in the first place.
