>>84894760This isn't an interjectpost because I'm reading this off of a few different summaries of the plot and gameplay.
Diabolik Lovers was originally a PSP game released in 2012, since then it has had a total of 8 game releases, an anime, and a set of 3 stage plays based on said anime performed in 2015, 2016 and 2018 respectively.
It's an otome game, and apparently also an anime now (and a play). The target audience is still young women.
The playable character, Yui Komori (JP form Komori Yui), is just a normal Japanese girl, but her dad is a traveling priest, so she is sent to live somewhere else while he is out of the country. The "somewhere else" turns out to be a mansion, which is home to 6 vampires, all brothers (or half-brothers), by 3 different mothers with the same father, who have the appearance of teenage boys.
The series starts with Yui having strange dreams about an "Eve" after living with the vampires for a month. A bit later, all 7 get into an unexplained car crash one night, with no casualties; the following morning, 4 more vampires come to the mansion and kidnap Yui, creating the plot.
It's a romance VN that's vampire-flavored. "Stinky Weeb Girl Twilight" if you will.
