As someone who has made that plane ride before, I can say chances are she was already a bit agitated. If she had the ability to pull the trigger on Selen, and was indeed notified of the document immediately, then it makes sense she was the one who panicked. What also lends credence to this is the fact the statement was pre-planned (it would have taken more than 2 hours to put together everything they wanted to pin on her) and sounds incredibly personal and unprofessional. It feels as though Elira at least had a hand in writing it, and it went out just 2 hours after the document that named her specifically was sent to JP lawyers.
