My question is: Isn't that a little bit convenient timing? Of course, there's the rrat that her "In 8 hours" was going to be the program, but she chickened out at the last second, and it follows that she would quickly open for a bigger sample before dropping the news there to test our reactions to it so that she could know what to expect when dropping it on the rest of the likers. But to that I say why would she need to reopen at all? She knows flakes and liaschizo both already followed notLia, and would have posted about it here, so in effect she got the same sample as she already would have had.
The only reason she would have to reopen is to maximize the number of people who would see the tweet with their own eyes, as opposed to through hearsay or screenshots. That is, making it completely undeniable that notLia was offered the "program."
Now you say, to what end would she make this up, and why worry about maximizing the followers? It's simple really: Spoonfeeding. It sounds obvious to you and me, but to newfags, or the particularly retarded, Lia and this random twitter account they were told to follow in /pcg/ may be unrelated. Even the constant dottoreposting might not be enough. So she wanted to confirm to the fullest extent possible that notLia and Lia are the same person, and made up a plausible and significantly detailed story as a basis for that, which she started with notLia and followed up with the announcement as Lia. Bonus points for the parasocialism baiting ("SHE CHOSE US!"). The "program" was all a work that drummed up hype with flying colors, but that was only secondary to the goal of establishing a throughline to as many fans as she can for the purpose of delivering personal news without the prying eyes of the fishman.
