realistically the worst thing that can happen if everyone were to identify red flags in someone and never interact with them is that nobody ever gives them a time of day, and now there is actually no proof they're actually a bad person and nobody wants to be the one that digs through history to make a slam piece on someone that hasn't done anything wrong in their current community because it would make them look like a dick in the possible event that person has actually changed his ways
