Preteens fawn over their boy band stars, but if they start making a shrine to the boy they share lunch with, that's getting a bit creepy. If you want to build it in a healthy way, it's gotta be a little bit at a time, mutually, not a giant terrifying leap. Even if they enjoyed talking to you, that's a lot of sudden pressure if you suddenly think you're fated.
I know firsthand, because I'm an idiot and fall in love much too hard, and much too easily.
