For anyone who cares, here’s my grand unified Hololive lore theory. Admittedly very EN-centric because JP lore is largely frivolous, but at least Gen 0 and HoloX are very critical to the universe.
>In the beginning you have “The Gods” (good) and “The Ancient Ones” (bad)
>The Gods create Council (sans Mumei) to bring order to the world
>The first concept created was Sana — The Speaker of Space
>The Ancient Ones corrupt Sana when she discovers “The Forbidden Truth”
>The forbidden truth is IRyS aka “Project: Hope” a celestial being also created by the Gods to bring hope to the world
>At the behest of the Ancient Ones, Sana spatially separates IRyS from humanity
The Setting:
>A dystopian wasteland filled with not but misery and despair
>One day a girl named Sora with hope in her heart and a desire to bring happiness to mankind becomes a virtual idol
>This tiny signal of hope in an otherwise decrepit world is enough to attract a certain number of people to her side now known as Gen 0.
>These people are Roboco, a half human half robot thought to be broken by most but actually possesses knowledge of a secret code that can bring hope to mankind
>Another being Miko, a shrine maiden sent on a mission by the gods to bless this A.I. with uncertain powers
>AZKi is artificially created as a culmination of their efforts, a virtual being with near unlimited power and a purpose of fabricating a new and better world.
>The more this virtual utopia swells its ranks, the more hope is broadcast to a dire world
The Conflict:
>The Ancient Ones are not blind to this development. While their haze cannot creep in to the virtual world shielded by AZKi, they can send agents to disrupt its progress, or stamp out the world entirely if need be.
World building flashback:
>An individual named Shiori with a unique immunity to the haze one day happened upon the forbidden knowledge of Project Hope.
>She is imprisoned along with a number of other individuals that dangerously bring hope to the world later known as Advent
Back to the Present
>A certain curious detective happens upon a watch with strange time powers and a hunger to learn about the rumors of a world with talking foxes, magical squirrels, superhuman dogs.
>As she explores this phenomenon, she runs in to a number of super powerful beings later known as Myth also curious to learn about the nature of Hololive.
Sudden Developments
>A mysterious being known as IRyS enters this universe supposedly wanting to bring hope to the world
>Not long after a group of enigmatic beings calling themselves “Council” with ostensibly godly powers follow
>Another group calling themselves a secret society code named: HoloX arrive on the scene
>Council and HoloX appear to be rivals and clash over a mutual fixation with IRyS
[A bunch of story stuff happens purposely left untold for creative interpretation]
>Sana departs from the universe causing the space between all worlds to dissipate
>A bunch of fugitives calling themselves Advent arrive on the scene
>Another group calling themselves Justice following them
>Ame and Shiori meet, and discuss things of intrigue, and Ame now understands that she must do something that her friends can’t understand
>She activates her watch to go back in time to sit at a bus stop in a deserted wasteland for an indeterminate amount of time waiting to give something to someone
>That someone is Roboco, who has been programmed by Shiori while in captivity to seek out signs of hope, and Ame must give something to her so she can fullfill her mission to meet with Sora
