>>50236215Doppio is one of my favorites among the livers =w= I think he's often misunderstood by the others because he's galaxy brained and they don't get it! I do think he's also better and the unhinged mania than I am, but everyone's got their own cool traits. I'd love to collab with him if I ever got the chance.
>>50236235Thanks kadet! Similarly to Doppio, if I ever got the chance, talking about game design with Sonny would be something I'd dream of doing, I really admire how much he cares about design elements and does constructive critiques and his thoroughness when playing games he likes!
>>50236316Yes! Progress is happening, steadily. It'll start as a hobby and pass time, but I'm building my PC on Sunday, since that's when the last of the parts are in, and my brainpower is currently focused on my new job. Gotta master that so I have the stable income and options to earn more money to fund my passions =w=
>>50236365I agree and will difer to your experience since I've only played it a little with a friend and dropped it early on due to the bugs/hackers and ended up playing other games with them, but I don't think he's being disingenuous in the slightest, because he does talk about how the experience is not going to be the same as those who played it at launch, and the reason I think that is because the experience people get NOW is kind of what counts for the analysis of a live service MP game, since that's what people will experience going in as a new player. It's not fair in a sense to the original product, but he does do his research in talking about those aspects throughout the videos, while maintaining the point that the current experience is basically not great. If anything he's disappointed that it turned out the way it did.
If it helps any I feel the same way about certain games, like Conan Exiles for example which I've enjoyed a lot with friends on private servers. Well the latest big update's going to ruin everything after the last big patch addressed a lot of the issues while adding new cool gameplay mechanics. The same can be said about patch cycles for stuff like League, or DotA. I enjoyed League right up to about the introduction of Riven, but the experience players have now of league is going to be completely different and they're not going to ever understand what it was like back then, so the analysis can only really focus on league now as a current experience, while talking about what it was like historically.
