>>90835941yeah the bible has prayers in it but if you are requesting a prayer it's personal and customized between you and god. my church has group prayer requests and the pastor always makes a prayer in a similar fashion to the post I linked. a prayer not directly addressing what you are praying for seems redundant. you are pleading directly to god, you don't need to have a preselected play book, you can honestly ask him for help. he's omnipotent, he knows what your praying for anyway why wouldn't you say it directly?
