vtubing in its natural state is within skits and other videos, vtubers didn't really feel much about the basic viewer other than vaguely being thankful for views and likes while viewers didn't really expect much either back then. so identifying your oshi back then was mostly based on content. taking that into account, calling a chuuba your oshi based on if they like you or not seems unnatural and dangerously parasocial compared to earlier trends. all of these schizos emerge because viewers or other vtubers get too close or just generally catch too much of the feels
