It seemed like whoever was managing her trainer her ONLY for her original role in mind and nothing else, while seemingly pushing her to play only the latest FOTM slop like Getting Over It and Chilla's Shart stuff IIRC. But that wasn't working out, so when came to doing other things she just seemed lost, and that led to her breaking down early near debut where she wanted to prove herself while playing Getting Over It.
I guess the best way to describe it was that it was like Rosemi having to try (and fail) to convey a dominatrix personality on debut and then coming into her own personality later on. Or like Maria having the chuunibyou trait dumped on her even though she really isn't anything like that at all from what I've seen. But when Aia tried to find things she liked and finally managed to get a new PC, it unfortunately came at a point where NijiEN burst into flames with Selen's termination.
