Hello liggermen, it's that time of year: We look at the top 25 liggers in CCV for the year ending in 2023. As usual, this is calculated based on CCV for the entire year, however, in the case of the 3 ex-vshojo members I only calculated their averages AFTER they left Vshojo, so this is purely their numbers they pulled as /lig/ vtubers.

1. Vei (5,767 ccv)
2. Neuro-Sama (5,484 ccv)
3. Filian (5,309 ccv)

HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Like I did last year, I decided to not include lord aethelstan due to the hybrid nature of his streams (usually 50/50 split at this point of flesh or Vtube) but for completion's sake, he was at 2,565 CCV for 2023 which is a great number and up over last year. Geega before she left for vshojo pulled 1,401 which would have landed her on the list.
Note:
>To see how overall growth of the twitch vtubing community was, I took the top 25 numbers from 2022 and the numbers from 2023 and calculated their overall age. The 2022 average was 2289 CCV and the 2023 average 2931 CCV. That means the overall average from year to year for top liggers was a growth of 600-700 CCV. This supports the theory that the Vtubing scene on twitch is still growing quite a bit, and that instead of massive name vtubers like it was in the past, viewership is more spread. The future of Vtubers isn't kizuna AIs that dominate everyone else, it's a scene of 1k-5k vtubers who all have their own flavors of community that appeal to specific viewers.
>Sinder was the breakout star of 2023. She went from a 800 view vtuber at the end of 2022 to one of the biggest names in twitch vtubing and she is still growing. Her ceiling will likely be somewhere in between 4k-5k range.
>Neuro Sama came out of more or less nowhere and has build a completely autonomous community that exists on it's own island. Given the nature of her and her community, it's safe to assume she will keep in the 4-5k range next year as well.
>Filian is up 2k CCV year to year, and is enough of a flying comet on both twitch and youtube to expect her to continue to trend upwards. She usually hits a hard ceiling at about 7k CCV, so it will be interesting to watch if she can break through that wall. Do not be surprised if she tops this list in 2024.
>Taking a look at the Ex Vshojos, The only one that didn't suffer a large viewership dip after leaving the company was silvervale (she took a hit but it was minor). Nyanners and Vei however dropped about 1-3k each since becoming indie.
>Some of the names in the middle like Saruei, Juniper, Bao, and Vienna all took some viewership hits for various reasons year to year, however in most cases it was between 200-300 ccv and they still have very thriving communities. Look for some of this group to have rebounds in 2024.
>Shxtou is the largest drop. He was 7.7k CCV average last year and is now 4.5k CCV this year, and his CCV the last two months has been sub 4k. He is probably always going to be the king male vtuber on twitch, but his fall due to some factors outside of his control (mainly Nijisanji EN males souring the community on male vtubers) is sad to watch.
>Anny had a massive rebound in numbers (1,698 ccv last year to 2,859 ccv this year), in large part to her getting back to somewhat regular streaming and her association with Neuro-Sama. Barring a menhera episode, expect her to maintain this going into 2024.
>Shondo, Lucy, Camila, and Olivia are names in the 1k range to keep an eye on for 2024. They all have 2k-3k potential going into 2024.
>At the end of last years post I earmarked Sinder, Tob, Nemu, Squchan, Milky, and Geega as being 700-800 views that could break through to 1k status in 2024. I was correct on 4/6, with Milky just barely missing that average and Nemu being off on a huge hiatus. This year the names to keep an eye on as potential 1k ccv liggers that are currently under 1k: Megalodon, Yoclesh, Sansin, Milky, Coqui, Meat, Vesper, and Jets.
Thank you liggers for reading all of this, I hope you are all well, have a wonderful new year, and may all your oshis incline.
